Gonna catch them all!!!

Although my sister continues her obsession with the legendary Taiwanese drama "Meteor Garden" ( she even said that she would want to buy the DVD as a collection so that her children can watch) , I myself have found another childhood addiction. As I think of it now, I never really watch the original series before, but I was a fan of their stickers collection. I remember spending all my pocket money just to get not one but two full collection of the stickers. Ya~~~ good old primary six memories.

With the familiar voice shouting "pika~ pika~", I'm watching at least 2 episodes of pokemon a day! I can't really stop myself but too keep on watching. It sort of went out of control that's why I trying to control myself. I have no idea why I'm addicted to it, the series I'm watching now is not even the original version that I used to know. Apparently they have more than one version.  but one thing for sure, it does make me feel like playing the game all over again. Just the thought of increasing my Pokemon level excites me. But I can't find the installer, so lets see if I will still have the urge when I found my installer.

On another totally unrelated note, Destiny Oh have left us for more than 5 months. I still remember clearly when I heard the news in Singapore. I went out of my hostel to the park opposite, sitting there crying. She's a fighter, she's our inspiration. When things get bad and I think about her, I found new strength. Life isn't that bad after all. If she could fight with all her might to breath, I can fight through the pain to stand or sit. If she can use a 3 days to impact the world, I should really make use of my every second.

Someone wrote this beautiful poem featuring Destiny. Is very beautiful. And it really kept me thinking, what have I done for the past 3 days.

Is after watching this video, it reminded me to appreciate what I have. Is because of this that I realise I do need to control myself. Being unemployed does not mean I should spend my time watching Pokémon, there are more meaningful things for me to do.

Baby D, I'm missing you very much.

Saw this on Pinterest few days ago. Never thought of it before, but is very very true!!!

So I guess, being unemployed or not is ok. As long as I live it to the fullest as I know how.

In everything and anything, just keep smiling!!!!!

Lying on my bed like a boss!

This what I've been up to lately, help out in church, took a part time job in a day care centre and now lying on my bed like a boss for almost 24 hours.

Since I came back from Singapore, I've been hunting for a job. But naively I did not expect job hunting can be this difficult!!!!Maybe is because I got my first job easily. I think it all happen within a month, that's why my expectation this time was superbly high. But since I have nothing to do, I was forced voluntarily went to church to help Keith Tay on some admin stuff. To tell you the truth, is really fun, the first day of work, I helped him reorganise his book shelf. It ain't easy, but I completed it! Then I help him to type out 5 lessons of CGL training teacher's manual then I compile with the other lessons and helped him to synchronise the formatting. Man! Is not easy to edit the formatting of other people's work!!! But after completing it,  I can proudly say that my Ms Word skills have improve a lot!!! I was suppose to go help him on other things yesterday, but as I said, I've been lying on my bed like a boss for almost 24 hours already, so until now I have no idea what he has installed for me. But till then, let me continue what I've done.

Last Friday when I was out with my cousin, I received a text asking me if I would like to take on a part time job at a day care centre. I was super excited!!! First of all, I need the extra money, second of all I love children, and lastly I really really really need the extra money (at least contribute something for the petrol ma~~). So I accepted the job and I was looking froward to it. I started on Monday, and I ended it on Monday too...  Because I did not expect helping out in the day care centre require so much bending!!!! I have this back injury since 4 years ago, it went bad last year after my trip to Pulau Ketam because I was bending while cycling. But thank God it became better in Singapore. But I'm not suppose to sit too long or bend too much, and helping out in the day care I bended a lot. To pick up toys, carry the babies, putting them into bed, all require me to bend. That's why after my first day, I called and say I no longer can continue. I felt so bad since they desperately need people to help out... But I really cannot take it.

This leads me to what I've been doing yesterday, lying on the bed like a boss. My back was badly injured, it hurts when I try to move here and there, that's why I spend almost every second on my bed resting. Thank God for IPad because I can watch drama and shows in bed. I was obsessed with Meteor Garden, gosh! That drama is really funny!!!! Hahaha... I know is old, but is funny, that's the only thing that matters. And when Jerry carry big S in his arm and say "as long as you say you did not do it, I believe you!" wah!!! i almost cry le!!! so touching!!!!  I also watched a lot of Kang Xi Lai Le. Since I did not watch any during my 7 months in Singapore, I have a lot to watch! Hehehe. I even have my lunch and dinner on my bed! Yes! It was that serious! But this morning I can stand up and walk longer, thank God for that!!! I'm getting better!!!!

I feel much better today, my mood is better, my back is better. Thank God for my sisters. One fake sister that came to visit and accompany me, and one real sister that is so understanding and buy me food. Love them both!!!!

Twice a day at 1 Utama

I have a stack of instax films that have been sitting around at a corner of my table for 2 weeks and another stack somewhere in my drawer. When I was still in Singapore, I have this idea to paste them on my wall. But somehow I just don't buy into that idea anymore and I left them there untouched. Until few days ago, I decided to get some inspiration from Pinterest again!!!

So when I went to 1 Utama to meet up my ex-colleagues, I was determined to get all the materials that I need. But when I got home and completed the whole thing, I realise something, I do not have enough tiny little wooden clips to clip my instax films!!!

Sometimes I can be so caught up in the things that I do, I will want to complete it no matter what! And guess what, I went back to 1 Utama that day itself again to go and get the wooden clips. Just to find out they were sold out!!!And will not restock until mid of November... TT I was super duper down when I found out that I couldn't finish my instax wall. And honestly speaking, part of me want to go Melaka to get those clips.

The second trip to 1 Utama did not only cost my time, petrol and strength. It also dug a hole in my pocket... I ended up shopping in Kitschen.

Look at my failed posing attempts.

p/s: I shop there twice within 5 days... ><

The crazy bunch of people

Can you see where we take this picha? Yes! We took this picture in the Police Station!!!

I knew it for a very long time that this bunch of people are special, but I just can't describe it in words until today. They are not only crazy and noisy, but they also very chill and relax! In short, they are very chillax people!!!!!

I mean how often can you find people that would make noise in the police station until the officer ask us to tone down our voice?

We help out each other, but we also have fun in every situation. That's what I love about them!

Khim even said that if somehow we face tsunami or earthquake, we can still have fun!! I can picture it in my mind already!

Meraki Zoe

I really hate to do this again, but I this time, I changed for a super duper valid reason - The Power of Speech!!!!

So I said before that I will never ever ever again change my blog link. Oops... I break my promise. I came across "The Power of Speech" a few times in the past few months, and every time I heard about it, I couldn't help but to consider to change my blog link. But because I wanted to stay committed to God know who that is reading my blog, so I always wiped that thought out.

But recently I keep telling my friend that I don't think I look pretty and stuff, was very discouraged on this area, and when I came across "The Power of Speech" again, I couldn't help but to think that somehow I really make myself feel like I'm not pretty.

So I decided not to take any risk and just change my blog link. Having "The Power of Speech" fresh in my mind, I'm very careful in choosing my link this time. I thought of every single possible link that could work, I wanted to put something random like "Apple to Zebra" or "Elephant can't run", but they just don't seem right to me. I literally cracked my head on this and I decided to go Pinterest to get some inspiration! haha~ And guess what?! I came across this::

It caught my attention, passion, soul and creativity! I want to live my life that way, write that way, draw that way and snap pictures that way! So I thought of putting "Meraki Life", but it doesn't sound very nice to me. It sounded like some insurance company name. After randomly thinking of a word that could go with it, a light bulb blinked in my mind and I thought of the word "zoe". Other than the fact that "Zoe" is commonly used as a name, but it is actually a Greek word that means life. Since Merika is also a Greek word, then is a perfect match! Meraki Zoe~

I don't know whether the usage of the word is correct or not, but don't care la~ Is good enough for me, cause to me, it means living my life with passion, soul and creativity!
