More to an introvert

I always thought I'm a weird kind of extrovert, but after reading this, I realize that I'm more an introvert than a extrovert. Take a few minutes to read this and I will tell you why I say so. ^^

Finish? And you are still here? GREAT! You care about me~ TT

No. 1 Introvert is not someone that is withdrawn, but the way they gain energy!
I gain energy by spending time with myself. I recharge by having a nap or read a book or watch a movie. I enjoy ALONE time and is ESSENTIAL for me. When I feel down, I just need to get away and everything will be all right. Some people feels is weird, but this is just how I am.

No.2 They tend to see extroverts as obvious predators out to steal their sweet sweet energy juice.
There is this incident that I can never forget. It happened when I first move in with my friends and we had a steamboat dinner so that we can know each other more. One of them is an extroverts. She is always on the top of her world and "high". When I see that I withdrawn from her and reluctant to interact with her. I don't normally do that, I always wonder why I only do this to some people, now I know why.

No. 3 Interaction is just too expensive and they don't want to spend it on something annoying (read: wasteful).
Ok. This is the tricky part, I do like interaction, but I don't like to waste my time on useless conversation. For example, there are people will just look for me out of the blue and I know there is a reason behind it. So I will like them to cut the chase and straight go to the point. But somehow they just like to go round and round before hitting the main point and I hate it! But note this, this only applies to those who have no intention to build relationship with me but to get things done. IF your intention is to build relationship, you are more than welcome (provided I want it too), but if you are not, state your case and GET OUT! LOL!

No.4 It is important for introverts to feel welcome - they won't spend their precious energy on someone who doesn't want them around.
Somehow this is true. If I feel welcome, no matter what I do (even I might be just sitting there and looking around) I will still feel comfortable. If not, even if there are people talking to me, I feel awkward. Somehow in my case, I think the first few minutes is essential. I think...

No. 5 Respect personal space.
I don't like the idea of people touching me for no reason! Unless you have my permission, if not DON'T TOUCH ME!!!!

I don't mean that I do not enjoy any form of relationship or interaction with others, in fact I enjoy it very much. I enjoy hanging out with the HOLDs, going to CG and etc. Just that sometimes I prefer to have some ALONE time. That's all! And remember, silence is not a bad thing, it might just means that I'm low in juice.

I think once you are in the hamster ball of a introvert, you are IN. But if one day you just suddenly decided to go out from it, the introvert will get crazy and sad and find it even harder to let someone else in. So appreciate your introverts yo!

Be persuaded

... Reading all those posts on the wall of my FB. What happened to this place that once was safe for all of us? Why the greed of the people can just take over the welfare of others?

Selfishness is a very very very evil thing. It hurts the people around you when you are controlled by this evil spirit. You think you are doing the right thing, yet you are too blind to see the truth. You think you are doing yourself a favour, but you can't see that you are walking towards disaster!

My heart breaks, my tears flow. This place I love and I still love no matter what.

I'm desperate for a saviour who will stand up and speak the truth and take action for those who are helpless. We combined our forces but the dark has tricked the light by saying itself is light and portraying himself as the light. But we are not fools that are blind, we will not sit and just wait

I will cry out to The Lord of all nations and city to intervene in this and fight for us. Nothing is too great for Him to handle. When all seems dark, my hope remains on Him and Him only. When all seems impossible, I put my trust in Him who did, doing and will do the impossible! No matter how dark it might seem, no matter how darkness persuade me that it is impossible, I will shift my focus and say it is possible! Not because how great my faith is, but how great my God is!

Even when I came to a point where I have no strength to hold on, I said a prayer "God help my unbelieve!" and He indeed persuaded me of His greatness! Lord, show your glory!

Hotel Roomies

During our Genting trip last week, 4 of us shared a room and all of us have our own sleeping patterns. Can you relate to any of the below?

The worst bed mate you can ever have is "The King", it will be like you have no bed at all and you are forced to be "The Pity". "The Miserable" is the worst to be, because no one is causing your insomnia you just cannot get used to the environment. And the best is of course "The Pig", sleep soundly by herself and will not disturb others! Best roomie and bed mate ever!!!

Can you guess which one is me?

Me Mo ma Mu Ki ko ka

I think my problem now is speaking out. There is a lot of emotions buried inside of me that I can't find a way to let it all out. Somehow I'm not a good communicator. The way I say things lead people to misunderstanding and I've come to a point where I just keep quiet.

But keeping my mouth shut will not solve anything, it make things worst. Because misunderstanding arise and relationship is broken. Talked to one of my friend about this, she say I must speak out, must tell people how I feel, if not I will be the miserable one. I can see why she say this, but somehow I just couldn't find the courage to do what I'm suppose to do. ><

So I kept quiet, bury the feelings down and neglect it. Then slowly it surface again and I bury it again. The cycle will repeat itself until something big happen and then I will be totally shut down from that person. Oh my~ This sounds serious. I think I really need the courage to tell them, despite what might happen. But I'm scare!!!! ><

Oh~ forgive my dilemma... I just need to do some mumbling...

Iron Man 3

I just came back from watching Iron Man 3! Thanks to Nuffnang Malaysia for giving me this opportunity to be the first few to watch this movie. Super touched when I receive your notification email last week.

To be honest, I'm not even sure if is a premier, because normally premier is like a day before the official screening, but ours are like few hours before the official screening. I only found out that when I reach the cinema today, and there I was going around telling people I will be watching a day earlier. ><

Anyway, premier or not I still enjoyed the movie. I don't really remember what Iron Man 1 was about and I totally did not watch Iron Man 2. So if I got to say, I'm not really a Iron Man fans, but still I enjoyed every second of the movie! Really! Trust me please~~

I'll say this movie is a mixture of action and comedy. Is like you will not want to close your eyes for even a second because you scare you miss something. But along with the Gan Jiong-ness/ excitement there are moments that will just make you laugh! So overall is a good and worth it movie to watch! But still, there are something that I don't really understand in the movie, maybe I missed some details. So you might want to pay attention to what is going on in the movie!

One more thing! And this is the biggy! MUST stay until the credits is over! Leave only when you see the screen turn black! And I really mean it! You will not want to miss what they've installed for you!!!

I won this 2 badges from Nuffnang by answering 3 questions about Iron Man! Thank God for my sister, because I really don't know that much about Iron Man other than he appeared in the movie "Avengers". haha

Without music...

... I'm a lifeless soul.

So I left my ear phones at home when I went back for lunch. (Yes! I go back home for lunch! Because is just a few minutes drive without jam!)

And I feel miserable! Everyday at work I will fill my world with songs and beat. But today my world is just filled with emptiness and the coldness of the office. With only the sound of the keyboard tapping and my soul dying! >< bml

After feeling sorry for myself for a few minutes, melody started coming into my mind and songs appear in my ear as if I have ear phones on! Wee~ And then I'm a happy girl again. LOL! My hard work of filling my ears with melody for the past few months pays off! YES!!!!

These are the songs I've been humming:

By the way, Jeno (刘力扬) is my new found love! Love her voice, love her style! Although she is 8 years older than me, but she still look so young!!!

Obsess with her songs now~ My new addiction is this (but cannot hear cause no ear phone, and don't have it in my brain cause I just listen to this song today~ ><)

Oh! She look so good in her short hair!! I like!! I also want to have this hairstyle!!! So in love with her and her style right now!!! Why?! Why did I only know her now?! TT

Carrot Book

I don't remember when I get it or why I bought it. I just remember buying this book from Readz (church's book store, previously known as attributes) years ago. If I drew my first drawing the night I bought this book, then it will be at 2011/07/30. Is like one and a half years ago! OMG!!!

By the way, this is what I drew:
Is been a long way since that ugly sketch.

For one period of time, it was my "just sketch" book.

Then it became the "draw yourself" book.

and for one period of time, it was my "sewing instruction" book.

I even brought this book to Singapore last year thinking that I will do some doodling, but I did none there. ><

But this book eventually came back to its calling and became my "sketch your thought" book.

The first drawing wasn't just a random drawing, it was how I felt that time and I drew it out. And now, I doodle almost everyday. I will make it a point to draw something.

Sometimes is my daily routine

Or the food I cook

Maybe how I feel at work

Or (my favorite) an impression in my heart.

This is my favorite of all! Somehow from that ugly sketching my doodling evolve into this.

Is been a long and bumpy road for my little carrot book. 2 more pages and it will retire. carrot book! You served me well! Thank you!! Muacks!

I love love love the cover page! ALL GOOD THINGS START SMALL!

Travel while young

So I came across this article yesterday night before I went to bed. Basically is an article that list out the benefits of travelling young. And honestly speaking, I'm buying into it.

Because I'm that kind of curious girl. Although I'm already 2x years old but I just can't seem to settle down.

Last weekend during our Genting trip, I told my friends that I'm thinking of pursuing my studies overseas. I also thought of going some place else to explore other options. It might seem silly to just give up all that I have right now, but that's what my heart is calling out each and every day.

Some might think that I'm not being contented or thankful for what I have. No! Don't get me wrong! I'm thankful for whatever that I have right now.

But almost every morning I feel like something wanting to burst within me but yet is pressed down by the pressure of reality. And every night when I reflect my day, I see nothing and nothing at all.

I never wanted to be a person that live to live. I wanted to be a person that live to bless and be a blessing to others and also myself.

I can feel that the screaming of my heart is getting softer and softer, not because I no longer want to break free from all these but because I'm slowly giving in to pressure and losing the courage to step out and be ME. The scariest thing of all right now, is to be in this "comfort zone" and not step out.

I need someone that can see that I'm not crazy. I need someone that will look into my eyes and say is possible. I need someone that remembers and support what I'm pursuing. I need to know that I'm not alone in this. Because I ain't God, I need support and encouragement.

Most of all, I need God.

The HOLDs in Genting

I've been away for the weekend and thus no Saturday update and no weekend comic.

If you did not notice, it just mean 2 things! 1. You have yet to notice I update my blog daily and I do weekly comic/drawing/doodling blog or 2. You don't follow/read my blog. TT Either one, I'm back now! yeah!!!!

So I've been very frustrated with my weekly routine. Is like I'm reliving my life on a weekly basis and I was at the edge of going to be crazy. I wanted needed to have a break from all these and just go somewhere to take a break. And when my crazy friends (the holds) planned a trip up to Genting, I can't be more thankful to God. He knows my need! And the best thing is, I don't have to go on to a lone ranger trip (because is not safe to do that in Malaysia), but I have good companies! Really thank God for that!!

The whole trip did not started as planned and I got the chance to take a short lone ranger trip to Pandan Jaya. Although is a short journey, but it brings back a lot of memories and I kinna miss those days when is safe for me to travel alone.

4 of us (among the 9) went up first and it was a trip like never before because our car broke down! LOL

Can you see the smoke?

While waiting for the car to cool down.

Thank God me and Kerry each bought a bottle of water, if not we will have no water for the car. And FYI, the car did not over heat once, but twice! LOL! Other cars drive pass us and look at us, laughing I guess. And there is one lady some more wave to us. >< And yes, I wave back to her too! hahaha!

Have to snap some picture while waiting!

(OMG! I cannot stop laughing thinking what happened that day! LOL)

And when we finally reach Genting, I was so relieved! And couldn't wait to go to our room and SLEEP while waiting for the others!

Snapping photo is a must!

Is a very relax yet fruitful trip. We do not have any agenda, we just went up and hang out with each other. We walked around, see people gamble, snapping photos and chit chat! It was really really fun! We also celebrated 2 of the holds birthday! And we take photograph as if we are in America's next top model. Posing here and there with our fashion guru guiding us.

Our view while we fellowship in the garden!

But I was so tired, so I went to bed early around 2 something. The others slept at 4 am. Few of them even have McD Breakfast! D:

I slept like a pig until 11 something. Pity the other 2 roomies. One cannot sleep because of the noise of the fan, the other have no space to sleep because his bed-mate was taking over the whole bed! Super inconsiderate! It was a very very wise move for us to separate the bed, if not only one of us can sleep. And it will not be me!

Because we have no agenda, we weren't rushing here and there to finish rides or shopping. Instead we went to the temple, they prayed there but I just went in like a tourist, full of curiosity. We even went see the crafting of the 8 levels of hell! My friend got scared there because one of the worker was there painting and she did not notice his existent  until he moved. She thought the statue move! Hahaha!

After that we went to strawberry farm which turn out to be more than just strawberry! They have lavender too! And I also saw passion fruit tree! OMG! I was so happy!

I just realize not all strawberry have the same shape.

This was my first time seeing lavender!

Super pretty roses! This was my last picha of the trip!

Passion fruit! begged my friend to borrow me his phone for this!

Felt so blessed through out the trip! With all these friends, laughter and craziness! This trip will be even more perfect if I did not forget my iPhone charger! I took my iPad charger instead. >< Stupid me! I could have snapped more photos and instagram!!!! But still, it was great!!!!

Relationship is a nasty thing

The phone rang. She knew in her heart that this will be a very long call, but she also knew if she let this call slip to voice mail it will be a disaster.

"Hello?" She say. She knew in her heart that she will not hear a hippy voice from the other side of the phone. It had disappear for more than 4 months already. Although she still have this glimpse of hope, she knew, deep down she knew it was impossible.

"hu... hu..." She can only hear the breathing from the other side of the phone. She knows, it must be a teary night again.

"Have you ever thought of looking for..." She was cut off before she could finish her sentence.

"I... love...too much... to go against.... will" Although she cannot hear the full sentence of the answer, she knew exactly what was said.

How she hoped to be there for her but yet it cannot be done. It couldn't be done.

She wonder to herself, how many calls had been made before her number was dialed. 1? 2? or 10? But no one can see the situation without any prejudice. No one really fit themselves into this dirty yucky shoes. They see it from the outside, make things complicated as if is not complicated enough.

After hours of listening and comforting, the tears finally stop.

"I want to sleep now." The same old calm voice that always ends the conversation.

"Ok. Sleep tight." She said and waited the phone be hanged up.

"Haih" She sighed, wondering when will the cycle repeat itself again.

Relationship is a nasty thing, it involves two parties but only need one to end it.

Break the code yourself

So I had this very weird dream yesterday night. In fact, I've been having a lot of weird dreams lately. Unlike fourfeetnine, I'm not pregnant! (read this!). I did't think much about this dream, but something happened just now which reminded me of the dream.

I dreamed that I got an opportunity to work on a new garden. I wanted this new garden badly because I'm sick and tired of the current old garden. So I happily accept this opportunity and went for it. I stop working on the old garden and declare to the world on my pretty new garden. But for some unknown reasons, I felt uncomfortable in the new garden. Things didn't felt right and I don't seem to fit it and that's when I crawl back to my old garden! Yes! you read it right! I CRAWLED back! pathetic right?! Even though I'm dreaming, I also feel pathetic at that moment. ><

It seems like I'm sucked into this invisible comfort zone and I REFUSE to come out. But the thing is this old garden ain't paradise at all. The most it is to me, is to provide something temporal but essential, necessary but no future value. Others keep on telling me to be patient, work harder and the garden will bring harvest. Maybe I'm just too blind to see it.

But in whichever case, I'm afraid that I've come to a point where dreams mean nothing and passion is an outdated word. Doing things because I'm suppose to, or because I have to. Sometime persistent don't bring reward, but getting out might bring you miracles.

I want something more does not mean I'm not contented with what I have.

Small things and BIG THINGS!

"I think God want me to learn what I didn't learned last year."

I've mentioned this to Keith before but I never put in deep thoughts to it. But it occurs to me this morning that everything that should take place last year happen exactly one year after.

Sooooooo Jonah. ><

Anyway, I've been having the same thoughts over and over again and is really killing me. No wonder they say some battle is for you to fight forever. Every time this thought comes to my mind, I will have this inner ring saying "you thought about this yesterday!" and then the battle begins. Again.

I think there is no total victory in this type of battle unless you found your way out of the situation. But to me, if the battle is shorter than yesterday is already a victory. Because as far as I'm concern, there isn't any way out for me. Yet.

So I learn to smile for small little things. Things like someone blessed me a bread, my tomyam soup taste superbly nice, a kid smile at me or my senior do something funny or big things like Pastor Tan is coming to preach! Yes! He is in town and he is going to preach in CHCKL tonight! I'm a happy little girl today!

Been looking forward to him coming since I know he is coming. Hahahaha! Pastor Tan is my favorite among all the teachers in SOT. I was so happy when I took a Instax Picha with him, and yes the photo is still in my wallet! >< Ok, this sounds a bit creepy. I just like him a lot as my TEACHER and PASTOR ok?! A lot of the girls in SOT like him a lot! They all want a husband like him. LOL

I put some thoughts to this, and I think that listening to him is like going on an adventure  There is so much to see and observe. And while you are busy absorbing, he will then throw something to you out of no where! He will open up your eyes on the word of God and the truth he share will convict your heart! Pastor Tan never fails to make me fall in love with the word of God once again.

Really can't wait to hear him later!!!!!!!

Join us if you want to! No! No matter you want or not also must come! Is something you don't want to miss!!!

Looks different now

Funny how things can just change when you change the way you look at it. The burden in heart can be just lifted up in one second. Although I am very tempted to go back to my comfort zone, the way it is right now seems to be just alright I guess. Everything have its own phase, so to speak.

So I went to the doctor today and I've been reminded on how blessed I am. Saw this baby girl suffered from some illness, her eyes were tired, she was crying and wasn't smiling at all. Pity little girl to go through all these as such young age. but thank God for her mom and her grandmother, can see that they love her very very much and patient in all tribulation.

Oh. How blessed I am. Way blessed than others might think. If I compare myself to those who run like a leopard, I'm nothing. But I choose to look at all the things in my life as a blessing and miracle from God. Comparisons bring you no where, trust me, I learned it the hard way.

I gave in to reality

I remember the days I bragged about choosing between reality and dream and I will always choose the later. But time proves me wrong, when the decision is in my hand, I did not do what I thought I will do.

I couldn't believe that this will happen to me. As the girl in the phone said "I want to know which will you choose, dream or reality." Sadly I told her I will choose the later one.

My sis said I did the right thing as the dream that was displayed was just a stone in a smoke screen. It ain't diamond at all! Why leave reality to go for disaster. She said if I did choose to give up all and go into the smoke screen, I will soon realize that reality is better than this "dream".

I cannot say I disagree with her, in many ways it is clear to me that it ain't diamond but an ugly stone. Which eventually will give me another wake up call for a need to dream again. But still, I never thought I will turn it down without giving any further consideration. The speed of me giving up on it, before analyzing the situation scares me. What if one day reality sucks me in and I've forgotten all that I dreamed of?

Everyday I got to remind myself of that dream, of that vision, of that fire that God placed in my heart.

Never thought I will walk down this path alone. But then again, God knows.

You number my wanderings; Put my tears into Your bottle; Are they not in Your book?
~Psalm 56:8

Iron Man 3: My Way

Do you know that other than the "Bababa~ Babanana" movie, there is also another movie that I can't wait to watch?

Is none other than Iron Man 3! If you haven't watch the trailer (which I think is impossible!), here the trailer:

As you might notice at the end of this trailer, there are a lot of different types of Iron Man! If I were given a chance to build myself a Iron Man my way, I will name it the "Royal Man".

This is how my Royal Man will look like!

Is going to be purple in color because purple is the color of royalty. Before I go into the design of my Royal Man, let me tell you why I name it The Royal Man.

The word "Royal" is related to kingship. Being a King, or born in the line of Kings, you know and you know you possesses special power and authority. That no one would dare to harm you because of your identity. And this identity got to be remembered, because if you forget and you don't act like a royalty, people or enemies will not treat you as one. Therefore I name my Iron Man the Royal Man. To remember that I have the power that others don't have, and I have the power to defeat the enemies and they shall "bow" towards me.

I've circle up 6 areas of my Royal Man so that I can explain it to you one by one.

1. Thorns on top of my head. I design it as it is not because I'm a fan for durian, but I notice that the top of the head can be an easy target. Is just like you got a bird flying over and coincidentally poo-poo on your head. There is no warning, you can't see it with your eyes, you can't feel it and you definitely can't hear it. So this thorns that you see will not only protect me when someone try to hit me on the hand, but also as a sensor to sense anything that is aiming me from above. And these little babies can shoot bullets too! On top of all protection that it can give me, I also can use it as a weapon!! Just bang them with my head will do! Hohoho!

2. I'm inspired by music and sound, therefore it is essential for me to hear some bit while kicking some asses! I know this might iterrupt the Artificial Intelligent (AI) that helps me analyst the situation and stuff, but being an AI, she will know when to come in and when to let me flow with the beat! So that I can fight with style! Imagine my Royal Man kicking some butt with moves like this:

With the AI so intelligent, I believe she will choose the right song for me during the battle! LOL

3. Don't underestimate my Royal Man's eyes! It might look simple from the outside, but what important is the core! It will have the ability to analyst the opponent psychologically and predict the next move. And with that I can surely win!

4. If you haven't notice, is a smile OK?! Why show a sad face during battle, smile and be confident! That will bring me victory! Muahahahahaha

5. I just want to show off the source of my power and life! Although it might be an easy target for my opponent, but who cares, it looks good!

6.The original Iron Man suit have power in his palm. I'll keep that, but is not good enough for me. So Imma put some machine guns at my arm there so that I have more weapons to fight with!

Yup, that's pretty much how my Royal Man will look like! I wonder if any of my ideas are in the Iran Man 3 movie. Well, I just got to wait till I watch the movie to find out!

Lion King - The story of Moses

It was fun listening to Davy Liu yesterday night,

He was born in Taiwan, wasn't a very bright student there. He said he got straight F. So his parents decided to bring him to the US. And there, he realize the different culture in the State and in Taiwan. When he was in Taiwan, he will get chalk threw at his face when he draw, but in the State his teacher encourages him to draw. He said this, America creates cow boys not cows. Which are 2 very different thing. In the state, they embrace uniqueness. They have this very assurance that they are the children of all mighty King, but it is different than in Taiwan where they believe in the cycle of life and one day after they die, they will become grasshoppers or animals. Wow! I never see it that way before!

During his study in America, his teacher gave him a piece of paper and ask him to draw something that represented his country and his culture. If I'm not mistaken, it took him one month to create the master piece and he got top 20 in the whole United State.

This is the art work:

Can you see is a dragon drew with tall buildings? Amazing!

Some of his other work:

He told us that being an animator is fun because you can slip in your own style in it without anyone knowing. And he did it by drawing himself as the main character of Mulan!

When he was sharing with us about his working experience in Disney, he said something that impacted my heart. When he was working in Disney, it was a very fun experience, everyone working together as a team. Sometimes he even think about his work in his shower! It makes me think back to my own working life. I remember saying that I'm those kind of person that will not think about work when I go home. People tend to think that it is a good thing. I mean to a certain extend is good because you won't be too stressed up. But to another extend it just mean that you are not enjoying what you are doing and you are doing for the sake of earning for a living. And I think that this is really what I'm going through right now. That's why I need a big "leaf" of faith to move from where I am now. Hmm.. will talk about this next time.

Lion King was also one of his project that took them 4 years to complete. He showed us the original cub that Simba was drew from.

The real life Scar:

Did you know that the Lion King story is "borrowed" from the bible! I only found it out yesterday night! Davy Liu told us that it is the story of Moses running away after he had murdered someone and soon forget his own identity. Just like Simba when he thought he was the reason his father died and see himself as a murderer, he ran away. He met the two crazies and eventually he forget his identity and began to eat bugs instead of meat! See the connection now?! I was blown away when he told us this. I'm going to watch this movie again with this new perspective.

He shared a lot about being an artist. I might not be one, but I love to draw now. Recently most of my thoughts come in the form of pictures and drawing. That's why I'm making it a point to sketch at least one drawing before I sleep. If I missed, I got to do 2 the next day. And I'm pretty consistent in doing so. I think is a good thing.

Here are the few tips he shared:
Always bring your sketch book along, cause you never know when inspiration comes.
If you feel stuck, try doing something extra ordinary, something outside your routine.Do something that will give your brain a shock.
Reach out to friend, go out and have some fun. Because when you have nothing in your brain, you really have nothing.
Lastly, reach out to God. Because God our Father have the infinite resources that you ever need to get your creative juice flowing!

Really enjoyed his talk. I love it when he just slipped in testimonies about God. And it really make me think bigger and embrace my uniqueness more.

He will be with us until Sunday. So do drop by and trust me you really don't want to miss this!

Davy Liu is in the house!!!!

Many might not who is him, but I'm sure you will know his work of art. Davy Liu is the animator behind movies like Mulan, The Lion King, Aladdin and Beauty and The Beast. If you are as old young as me, I bet you watch one of these movies before.

My personal favorite is Mulan. the way she sacrifices for her family to rescue her father touched my heart and I love her character a lot! Not that typical type of girl. Me like! The song "Reflection" in the movie is one of my favorite too!

But this post ain't about me or Mulan but about Davy Liu, because he is here in KL already and he will be ministering in City Harvest Church Kuala Lumpur tonight and this weekend's service. I can't wait to hear from him tonight! They say he'll be sharing on "Creative Process in Film and Animation"! Although I'm not an expert in these, but since I picked up drawing recently I think I can learn a thing or two. Not only that, they say he will be sharing a different message during the weekend services, I bet is going to be good!

Is always exciting to hear testimonies on how God use people working in and through the market place for His glory. Is not easy to just leave your comfort zone and be obedient to God's calling. Trust me, I learn it the hard way.

So if you are somewhere near Sunway tonight or this weekend, do join us.

Imma talk about water baptism

"You're going for your water baptism? Really?"
"Yup~ this weekend. Why?"
"You sure or not? When you are in, you cannot come out already. Die die is Christian d!"
"Ya. But..."

Ok, so this was my conversation with my friends few years ago before I had my water baptism. They were very concern about me going to be water baptized because they think that once I'm water baptized  I'm a "copped and signed" Christian and I cannot change religion anymore. (Not that I want to) But to me, it is not like what they thought it is.

Being a Christian is having a personal relationship with God. Whether I'm water baptized or not, if I don't have a relationship with God, Jesus will not know me. And if I have a personal relationship with God, but I'm yet to be baptized, I'm sure if I'm dead and go to heaven, Jesus will still recognize me. Christianity is not a religion stated in your I/C but a PERSONAL RELATIONSHIP with God.

Matthew 7:21-23
Not everyone who says to Me, 'Lord, Lord,' shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father in heaven. Many will say to Me in that day. 'Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in Your name, cast out demons in Your name, and done many wonders in Your name?' And then I will declare to them, 'I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice lawlesssness!'

How to know the will of God? Have a personal relationship with Him. How? Read the bible and pray!

I remember Pastor Bobby once told us that when he went for mission trip, one of the member came and ask him to water baptize all his friends. He was more than happy to do that. On that day, Pastor Bobby went to that place and he saw all of them smoking, full of foul languages in their mouth and tattoos were all around their body.Get the picture? So Pastor Bobby was curious and he went to that member and ask him where these people came from. And the member said this "All these are my gang members! I want them to have eternity, so I ask them all to come to be water baptized!". No! Water baptism is not a guarantee certificate for eternal life!

So what is water baptism all about? Water baptism is a public confession of your faith. That you believe in the Lord Jesus, you believe that He had died for your sins and now you are forgiven by the grace of God and accepted in the Kingdom of Christ. You confess what you believe through your action.

But more than just a public confession, water baptism symbolize Jesus's death, burial and resurrection. That after you are water baptized, you are dead towards your old sins, cover by the blood of Jesus and now you raise as a New Man in Christ.

I always thought that water baptism is only a public confession of my faith. Is like telling the whole world "Hey y'all! I'm a Christian you know! I believe in God!" full stop, end of story! Little did I know that water baptism represented more than just public confession. But there are spiritual elements in it!

I heard testimonies like someone who have tattoos all over his body was water baptized and when he came out of the water, his tattoos were all gone. Well, I din't know whether the water was dirty after that, but either way, is still a miracle! And the other one I heard is someone with smoke addiction problem was water baptized and when he came out of the water, his addiction was miraculously gone! Praise the Lord!

What I'm trying to say is, we tend to reduce the significance of water baptism. More than a public confession, water baptism symbolize us dying with Christ on the cross, nailing our old self, bury our sin nature and by the power of the blood of Jesus and the grace of God we are raise up as a New Man in Christ.

So if you are going to be water baptized soon, please don't forget what water baptism is all about. Be water baptized, declare your faith and expect a miracle from God! Whatever you need to have a breakthrough, leave it all into God's hand, bury it with Christ, and resurrect with Christ as a new being. Expect a miracle!

Hope you are blessed!

p/s: I wish I knew this before I was water baptized, then I would have believe in God for a miracle. Can I be water baptized again? please~~~~

pp/s: This are my thoughts on water baptism, leave a comment if you think otherwise!

Oblivion - Premiere Screening

I remember the first time someone introduce me as a blogger! I was so happy that time. Although I did not show it on my face, but I was really really happy. I seldom refer myself as a blogger, that's why when he told the others I am, I was shocked! But still happy.

Being a blogger is fun enough for me, but being a blogger registered with Nuffnang add more spice in it! Thanks to Nuffnang, I got the chance to watch "Oblivion" yesterday night, before the official release which falls on 11/4/2013.

Like the previous screening, I brought my sister along to watch this movie. She's like a super VVVVVIP! So hard to invite her! But thank God she can make it! If not I might watch it all alone. ><

As this was my first time going to 1 Utama's brand new TGV, I was impressed by their interior, very high class look. And the best thing of all, they have this lounge where you can sit and wait until your show start! Me like it a lot!

This was also my first time watching a movie before it's release, therefore is a fairly different experience. We were asked to switch off our phones (since everyone is using smart phones now) when the movie starts. And as a good good girl, unlike my sister, I did switch off my phone. But they did not check, oh well. I think as long as you don't use your phone during the movie is good enough. During the movie, I think someone behind me took out her phone, and the security there went to her and warn her or something. Not so sure. I was concentrating on the movie ok?!

Anyway, let's talk about the movie!

Oblivion is a Science Fiction movie. I expected a lot of blood scene but there isn't much of it.

I was confuse at first because of the names of the places and etc. But I think that's the thrill of watching Science Fiction movie. You can know more and more along the way and slowly all your confusion will be all gone. On top of that, I always enjoy to be the person who can explain about the story to those who are blur like a potato, in this case my sister.

I feel like talking more about the movie in details, but I don't want to spoil it since is not even up yet. hehehehe. If you are a Sci-Fi fans, I think you will like it!

p/s: Do remember to make plans to go back to your respective places and vote for our country k!!

Every Morning

I go through this "5 more minutes" with my sister every morning. LOL. Pity her, have to wake me up every morning and the process is getting harder and harder. Sometimes after she wakes me up again, I will request for another 2 minute. >< Becoming more and more like a pig!!!

I've tried changing this, but FAILED! Got to try harder again.

Ugly Duckling

Have you ever heard about the story of the ugly duckling?

If you haven't heard of it or you have, this is my version of the story:

There is this ugly duckling that appears among the other baby ducklings. The ugly duckling not only look different, she bring herself differently too compared to the other ducklings. She walk differently, swim differently and even sound differently. But the mama duck was full of love and she loved the ugly duckling the same. She try to bring up the ugly duckling to become a beautiful duck the best she knows how. And the ugly duckling try her very best to fit in, but no matter how much effort she put it, she still cannot be one of them. She tried so hard. Along the way she got hurted, disappointed and tired, not because the other ducklings do not loved her, but because she is just way too different from them. And trying to fit it has brought nothing but tension and discomfort. She was confused and lost.

Then one day, the ugly duckling met one of her kind. Whom she found is so similar to her, and then only she realise she wasn't meant to be like the ducks, but she was meant to grew up to be a beautiful swan. No wonder all these while no matter how hard she tried she just couldn't fit it. She wasn't meant to fit in.

To grow up as a beautiful duck would be wonderful, it was what the ugly duckling always wanted to be. But it will never feel fit to her because God created her to be a beautiful swan, to paint another type of painting for her life. So no, she will not force herself to be a duck anymore, but will embrace the truth that she was uniquely made, different from a duck - a swan.

For the real version, watch these:

I will praise You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made;
Marvelous are Your works,
And that my soul knows very well.
~ Psalm 139:14
